For my birthday I went out for dinner to wd-50, a molecular gastronomy
resto in the LES. We tried the tasting menu and had 12 courses (3
desserts!), with juxtaposed flavours, colours and textures that had us
oohing and aahing and occasionally wincing. Wylie Dufrsesne himself
was in the kitchen, which seems unusual in celebrity chef circles. Was
delicious and a great end to a gentle day.
